It's simple.

True virtue is not being ostentatious.

Honesty and virtue is modest.

Great to live a healthy lifestyle...but advertising it with a moniker of XXX is ostentatious.

if a Christian wears a crucifix around his or her neck, is it ostentatious? or a Jew wearing the star of
David? or a Taoist wearing a Yin Yang? self expression by use of symbols has been around for thousands of years. "XXX" as a symbol for straight edge is a newer symbol than those others, but does it not still stand for a way of life just as the others do?
