This is a lovely image the overall feel is very cool, but something about the color scheme of her tattoo adds that warmth to the image. The perspective you caught is fantastic. It has foreshortening that you normally only see in comics.
What is it about Asian women that they can pull off those elaborate tattoos on their backs? Some people try to get tattoos like that to cover whole areas of the body and they just fail. This is just so erotic. Maybe it's like the Tootsie Pop question?
Great use of perspective; the subtle change of focus to accentuate it was a nice touch. IMO the picture would have looked a lot better colour-wise if she didn't have the tattoo across her back, but obviously that's something unchangeable. Also, the model herself is fantastically good-looking.
my job as a photographer is to make them look beautiful in photos, no matter if they're beautiful in real life or not.. so it's actually really easy to only concern myself with whether or not I'm doing my job
I freaking appreciate that kind of honesty and wish more photographers had it. Saying every model is the hawtest thing you've seen on two legs is like me being a food critic...cause god KNOWS i will think everything short of a double cheese burger is delicious i just have un cynical pallet and i love trying different cuisines for the hell of it.
Its gotta be great though when you do get that exceptional model. Not only physically attractive but raw sexuality, presence, charisma ...and knowing her left from her right XD
actually yeah, my favorite girls to work with are the ones who just suit my style of shooting and can easily take direction the way I give it. when I say "turn your chin to the left a little" they do it exactly how I wanted them to, while some girls will leave their chin in the same place, but tilt their head way on it's side. just little things like that keep the shoot moving and make the pics better because we don't have to stop as often
